Ryan Preece, the defending champion of the Rackley Roofing 200, earned the pole position for today’s event with a lap of 160.925 mph during qualifying at Nashville Superspeedway on Friday.
Preece, driving the No. 17 Ford for David Gilliland Racing, won the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series event last year at NASCAR’s biggest concrete track. It is Preece’s first career Truck Series pole.
Zane Smith qualified second, with Carson Hocevar third, Corey Heim fourth and Derek Kraus fifth.
Stewart Friesen, driving the No. 52 Toyota for Halmar Friesen Racing (156.017 mph), led Friday’s lone practice session prior to the qualifying session.
The Rackley Roofing 200 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race is the 15th Truck Series event hosted at Nashville Superspeedway.
Green flag for the Rackley Roofing 200 is set for shortly after 7 p.m.
The fastest Truck Series qualifying time in track history belongs to Erik Darnell, who turned a lap of 162.116 mph on Aug. 12, 2006.
