New Timing and Scoring System for 2009
Lebanon, TN - Nashville Superspeedway's Friday Night Delk Performance Adrenaline Drags is bigger and better in 2009 with an expanded schedule, new divisions, and a purchase of a new timing and scoring system that will allow time slips for each and every run down the drag strip. The new "Christmas Tree" will be unveiled at the first Delk Performance Adrenaline Drags on Friday Night, April 17. Adrenaline Drags will run consistently (with a few exceptions) every Friday night from mid-April through the end of August. For the first time, season tickets are available for competitors and spectators by calling 1-866-RACE-TIX.

FRIDAY NIGHT ADRENALINE DRAG
RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. To drag race you must be 18 years or older with a valid drivers
license. Drivers license will be checked and verified during the vehicle tech
inspection.
2. All competitors must wear a Ύ or full face helmet that have a
DOT, Snell k98, 2000 or 2005 rating. Half or novelty helmets are not
acceptable. Helmet will be checked and verified during tech inspection.
3. All competitors must register their vehicle prior to being
eligible for competition. Registration takes place at the Tech Area in
Victory Lane.
4. NO ALCOHOL IS ALLOWED IN THE COMPETITION AREA.
5. BURNOUTS ARE ONLY ALLOWED IN THE BURNOUT AREA. Burnouts
in the paddock or staging area will result in an immediate disqualification and
eviction from the event. (NO EXCEPTIONS)
6. No Passengers are permitted during practice or racing.
7. Maximum speed in the paddock and staging areas is 10mph.
8. All hub caps and trim rings must be removed
9. All vehicles must have at least one working taillight.
10. Door handles operational inside and out.
11. All vehicles must have working seatbelts or up to date safety
harnesses.
12. All Vehicles are required to have the drivers side window
closed during practice and competition.
13. Air-conditioners must be turned off when in the staging,
burn-out and competition areas. Use of air conditioners will result in a
disqualification from the event.
14. All vehicles must be free of fluid leaks. Leaks will result in
the disqualification from the event.
15. Tires must be in good condition.
16. Drinking by competitors will result in immediate
disqualification from the event

Class Winner = 3 pts Runner-up = 2 pts All Entries = 1 pt
Points will follow the vehicle registration number. Points will
not be combined or transferred

Drag Race Divisions Technical Inspectors
decision is Final
1. Domestic (D 1)
All American made cars with no modifications to body, fender, floor pans,
suspension and suspension locations. No nitrous or power adders allowed. DOT
drag radials allowed. Max tire tread width 10.5 inches wide. NO DOT SLICKS
ALLOWED.
2. Factory Modified (F 2) Any factory high performance
production or limited edition vehicle. No modifications to body, fender, floor
pans, suspension and suspension locations. Only factory power adders allowed
(i.e. Turbo and superchargers). No nitrous allowed. DOT drag radials allowed.
NO DOT SLICKS ALLOWED. Example vehicles: Dodge SRT, Ford SVT, Roush, Saleen,
Chevy Z06, Mercedes AMG etc.
3. Tuners Domestic and Foreign (DF 3) - All
Domestic and Foreign six cylinders or less (no diesel engines). No
modifications to body, fender, floor pans, suspension and suspension locations.
No nitrous or power adders allowed. DOT drag radials allowed. NO DOT SLICKS
ALLOWED.
4. Motorcycles (M 4) Motorcycles must be street legal, which
means registered, insured and drivable on the street. ATVs (M 4) ATVs
are any four wheeled All-Terrain Vehicle that is chain driven. Riders must wear
a helmet, long pants, long sleeved shirts and gloves while competing. Helmets
must have a DOT, Snell k98, 2000 or 2005 rating. Leather or ballistic nylon
jacket, full fingered gloves and leather high top shoes or boots are
recommended.
5. Trucks (T 5) - Domestic and Foreign trucks with eight or
ten cylinder stock engines (Gas or Diesel). No nitrous allowed. Only factory
turbos and supercharges permitted. Stock suspension in stock locations and
stock drive train must be in place. DOT drag radials allowed. NO DOT SLICKS
ALLOWED.
6. Street Offender (ST 6) Domestic and Foreign cars and
trucks with stock bodies. All control arms, shocks and springs must be in stock
locations. Roll cages allowed, but may not extend into the engine compartment.
Mini tubbing allowed. Any engine modifications allowed. Vehicle must be street
legal with valid registration. No wheelie bars allowed. Drag radials allowed.
No slicks.
7. Pro Four (PF 7) This is a wide open class for tuners. Domestic
and Foreign cars and trucks with three or four cylinders and everything more
than stock. Nitrous, suspension, rotary engines, power adders, drive train
modifications and racing slicks are allowed.
8. Sportsman (SM 8) Any
car or truck with stock appearing body. Full tubbing allowed. Four links,
ladder bars and coil over shocks are permitted. Any roll cages are allowed. Any
engine modifications are allowed. No tire restriction.
9. Pro (P 9) Any
and All. This is the class that is wide open. If your car does not fit in the
rules listed above, this is the class you run.

All Show
& Shine vehicles must register at the show area behind the Infield
Grandstands. Winners will receive a trophy and be invited to drive
Pit Road prior to
the beginning of the drag races.
