LEBANON, Tenn. — Nashville Superspeedway announced that Gavin Adcock will serve as the Honorary Pace Car Rider for the Cracker Barrel 400 NASCAR Cup Series race on May 31.

“I grew up watching NASCAR but never imagined I'd be riding in a pace car to start a Cup Series race,” said Adcock. “It will be bittersweet with Kyle Busch having just passed away, he was my favorite driver and he will be on everyone’s hearts this Sunday in Nashville.”

Adcock, dubbed by Billboard as "one of country music’s most buzzed-about artists” is a Georgia native, born and raised in Watkinsville. A former Georgia Southern University football player, Gavin grew up working on his family’s cattle farm and dreamt of riding bulls in the PBR. He started writing songs in high school, but it wasn’t until the spring of 2021, when Adcock tore his knee playing football, that he used his healing time to record and release his first original single. Since then, Gavin has collectively amassed more than 2 BILLION global career streams and has steadily built one of Country music’s most compelling fanbases. “Gavin's story is one that NASCAR fans can really connect with,” said Nashville Superspeedway general manager Matt Greci. “He’s someone who grew up working the land, gave everything to the game he loved and found his calling through sheer determination. That spirit fits perfectly here at Nashville Superspeedway and we can't wait to have him be part of race day.”

Gavin is back on the road this year with his headlining The Day I Hang It Up Tour spanning across nearly 30 dates in the United States. Fans can score remaining tickets by visiting www.gavinadcockmusic.com/tour.
