LEBANON, Tenn. — The glow of more than 2 million lights will once again guide runners and walkers through one of Middle Tennessee’s most festive holiday traditions when the Dancing Lights 5K Fun Run/Walk returns to the Wilson County Fairgrounds on Nov. 7.

Now in its 16th year, the event combines the holiday magic of the Dancing Lights of Christmas with the community spirit of Fleet Feet Mt. Juliet/Nashville -- and this year, all proceeds will benefit the Nashville Chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities, which supports local children in need throughout Middle Tennessee.

Participants of all ages can enjoy a scenic 5K route illuminated by synchronized lights set to classic holiday music, followed by a festive finish at Santa’s Village, where hot chocolate and holiday treats await. Santa’s Village opens at 4 p.m. and the race begins at 7 p.m.

“This event truly captures the spirit of the season -- families, friends and runners of all kinds coming together to enjoy the lights, celebrate the holidays and give back to children in need,” said Matt Greci, general manager of Nashville Superspeedway. “We’re honored that proceeds from this fun run will directly support Speedway Children’s Charities and its mission to make a difference in our community.”

Registration is open now through Nov. 6 at FleetFeetNashville.com. Children five and under are free. Participants will receive a logoed event hoodie while supplies last.

Packet pickup will take place Nov. 2-7 at Fleet Feet Mt. Juliet (630 S. Mt. Juliet Road) during designated hours. No race day registration or packet pickup will be available.

Parking will be available exclusively through the 175 Peyton Road entrance at the Wilson County Fairgrounds.
