LEBANON, Tenn. — The craft and community of the hot rod world came together for a worthy cause recently at Nashville Superspeedway, as the Nashville chapter of Speedway Children's Charities raised $121,135 recently during the Triple Crown of Rodding.
Through collaboration with the Southern Brushslingers, a live auction and fan donations, the funds raised will support Speedway Children’s Charities’ mission to improve the quality of life for children in need throughout Middle Tennessee.
The Southern Brushslingers’ artists created one-of-a-kind pinstriped and custom art pieces for fans and enthusiasts throughout the Triple Crown of Rodding.
“Events like the Triple Crown of Rodding remind us just how generous and community-minded this group of enthusiasts truly is,” said Matt Greci, general manager of Nashville Superspeedway. “Southern Brushslingers brought incredible talent and heart to Nashville Superspeedway, and the impact of what the community raised together will be felt by children and families across Middle Tennessee for years to come. We are grateful for their partnership and proud that our track continues to be a place where the community rallies together for something bigger than motorsports.”
The Nashville chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities provides funding and resources to local nonprofits serving children facing challenges such as health needs, hunger and educational barriers. In 2025, the Nashville chapter distributed a record $240,000 in grants to 22 Middle Tennessee nonprofit organizations.
Fans looking for the next opportunity to support Speedway Children’s Charities won’t have to wait long. On Sept. 24, Nashville Superspeedway will host the inaugural “Sunset at the Speedway” -- a rooftop songwriters experience from 5-9 p.m. CT on the Nashville Superspeedway rooftop and mezzanine. The premium evening event brings together acclaimed Nashville songwriters for an intimate, in-the-round performance set against a sunset backdrop high above the track, with stripped-down performances and rare behind-the-scenes stories from the writers behind some of country music's biggest hits. Tickets are limited.
